|Investigarions of night vision devces design by operational research methods. Research project of IIT-BAS, 2006-2009.
||Developing and application of combinatorial optimization methods for night vision devices (goggles, binoculars, scopes) design by choosing optoelectronic channel elements (objective, image intensifier tube, ocular) and other mechanical elements (electrical bateries type and number, construction, etc.). The reasonable combinatorial choice method is developed and implemented in NVDpro - software system for night vision devices design
|Investigation of the influence of the gate system design parameters on the injection moulding of optical disc substrates using computer aided design and simulation, Research project of IIT-BAS, 2006-2009.
||The project is aiming on developing 3D CAD models of the basic types of the sprue system to determine a range of gate size parameters and correct gate location towards central hole thickness. The investigation results will give a possibility for future research of the influence of the sprue system design on the process of precise micro-scale information pits replication. By means of iterative steps in the frame of the simulation program MoldflowXpress (integrated with SolidWorks), a range of values of the gate size for all of the given above sprue system are obtained allowing easy mould cavity filling. |Manufacturing sheduling and stock control in SME, Contract with Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) and “ALOE” Ltd. 2007-2009.
||The main research and applied activities of the project are carried out in collaboration with ALOE Co Ltd. and include:
Study and selection of basic mathematical models for production scheduling and inventory control in small and medium enterprises.
Development of computational algorithms for production scheduling and inventory control and programming of software modules implementing the algorithms.
Integration of the software modules in a program system intended to support the technological management of small and medium enterprises.
|Innovative information technologies in wind park design, Contract with Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) and “Freemasanry” Ltd. 2007-2009.
||Innovative methods are used for optimal wind parks design. The developed methods include single and multicriteria optimizaton tasks formulation and are to be implemeted in research prototype software system.
|Optimal planning of the details and units production for CNC metalworking machines, Contract with Ministry of Education and Science and RAIS Ltd. (2006-2007)
||An optimization method for job shop scheduling of multiple details dependant processing on diffferent machines is developed. The method is realized by means of MS Excel© Solver tool and the resulting schedules are implemented in the pracrice of Bulgarian company RAIS Ltd.
